Some incredibly over-sensitive people are simply incapable of living in close proximity with other humans and should move to a situation more appropriate for them. Okay, so I’ve had some experience with a crazy neighbour. How can I prove that they are using that ceiling thumper device? It is affecting my health already as I have muscle twitches constantly now because of this. If they are renting, they can easily be evicted. Neighbor is also a homeowner so the management is having difficulty. The former owners of this apartment also suffered the same torture so they sold this, and we bought it not knowing the history. We are 2 (lightweight 120 & 125 lbs) ladies here not heavy walkers while our nemesis is a 73/yo 6’3” veteran and his 73/yo wife. Despite all of these efforts on our part, we still suffer from this non stop ceiling thumping/vibrations.
Even had to schedule vacuuming the carpets to the management so they would be notified.
CEILING THUMPER AMAZON PLUS
We have installed soundproofing on my bedroom floor plus thick carpets to dampen the sound on major areas and high traffic areas, are tiptoeing already, can’t watch TV nor talk on the phone in bedroom anymore and scared to have people over to visit us for fear of upsetting them. It’s been going on for almost a year and it worsened during the lockdown. I reported to the management but I need a hard evidence of my claim. I bought a vibration meter but could not register the vibration unless it’s close or attached to the machine that vibrates. It used to be only in bedroom, but now it’s all over the apartment. They stopped the pounding and shouting but resulted in using this ceiling thumper not only at night but during day time. I reckon the management had given them a ceased and desist letter. I reported to the management, condo board and police several times with video recordings of pounding of our floor and audio recordings of his shoutings. It would thump and vibrate in different intensity and duration. Other than the constant banging on our floor (their ceiling) on the slightest sound we make and shouting expletives whenever I enter my bedroom, he is now using this ceiling thumper that would wake me up in the middle of the night.
